Hunter’s Safety

The hunter education course instills in students the knowledge and skill to be a responsible and safe hunter. Students learn how hunting accidents are caused and how they can be prevented. Hunter responsibility and safety are stressed throughout the class. It will be held from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium.

AARP Safe Drivers Course

The AARP Driver Safety Program is an 8-hour classroom refresher that can help you learn the effects of aging on driving and how you can adjust your driving. This course for seniors is available several times a year, and may get you a discount on your auto insurance. $10.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

This American Red Cross class will teach you the basics of CPR to help you in emergency situations at your home, in the workplace, or in the community. You will learn how to recognize an emergency, and how to properly care for a victim. This class begins at 5:30 p.m. and lasts approximately 3 hours. $25 single class. $40 for Combo.

Basic First Aid

This American Red Cross class will teach you the basics of First Aid. You will learn to treat shock,  bleeding,  burns, fractures,  and more. Class will be held at the Municipal Auditorium at 5:30 p.m., and will last approximately 3 hours. $25 single class. $40 for Combo.

Dog Training

Canine Good Citizen

Learn what it takes to make your dog a Canine Good Citizen. This class will teach your dog to walk on a loose leash, and the basic commands of sit, down, stand, and stay. Problem behaviors will also be addressed. Class is 4 weeks. $40.00. Classes will be held in Spring and Summer, call FRRPD or Lynn Smithson, 533-8463 for info.

 

Show Dog 101

Have you ever wondered if your dog has what it takes to be a champion? In this 4-week conformation class, you will need to become familiar with the sport of dog showing, how to stack, and gait your dog, patterns in the show ring, and what it takes to be a handler. Class is 4 weeks long. $40.00. Classes will be held in Spring and Summer, call FRRPD or Lynn Smithson, 533-8463 for more info.
