Tai Chi Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese exercise consisting of slow, relaxed movements that provide physical exercise for the body, concentration for the mind, and meditation for the spirit. This class is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30-10:00 a.m. The class is $1 per day. 2006.50f
Walk into Fitness This a beginner’s walking class designed for anyone of any shape. The class will help you begin to get into shape and is very low impact. This class is especially good for those who are either elderly or exercise beginners. Class meets twice a week at Riverbend Park. Class is $30. April 23– July 11 Sept 17– Dec 5 5600.02y 5600.03y
5k Training This 9-week course will prepare any beginner to participate in the Salmon Run (3.1 mi) or any other 5k run. Class will start July 23rd and will meet Wednesdays and Saturdays at Riverbend Park. Class is $30.
Walk then Run This 13-week fitness course is designed for beginners of all ages and abilities, no matter their fitness level. The class runs twice a week, Tuesday and Saturday, with a one day a week out-of-class exercise. The class will gradually work the beginner from their fitness level to be able to run a 10k event. Class will meet at 5:30 p.m. at Harrison Stadium on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. at Riverbend Park. Class is $35. Sept 21– Jan 17,2009 5700.02y
Pilates Pilates dramatically transforms the way your body looks, feels and performs. It builds strength without excess bulk, creating a sleek, toned body. Class is held Mon 7-8 p.m. in the Prospect Room.

Intermediate Runner This 10k improvement course will continue to further train intermediate runners. To sign up for this class you must have either completed Walk then Run, or have recently run a 10k. Class will meet two days a week, with two out-of-class exercises each week. Class will meet Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 7:30 a.m. Class is $40. Sept 30–Jan 17, 2009. 5800.02y
