FRRPD is proud to introduce to our community the newest and most exciting program yet … Jr. Giants! Sponsored by the San Francisco Giants, Jr. Giants is a co-ed, non-competitive baseball league that focuses on the entire game of baseball, rather than wins and losses.
This league is open to anyone, regardless of physical condition. Jr. Giants puts focus on healthy lives and helping out in the community. The league offers many programs, many of which include trips to San Francisco to play on the Giants field, some even include days with the players. Coaching is done on a volunteer basis, and coaches are trained at AT&T Park by members of the Giants staff.
This league encourages families to join in, help out, and encourage their children in a positive way. Sign-ups will be done at Feather River Recreation and Park District, and again are open to anyone 5-18 years of age. If you are interested in being a coach, please contact FRRPD prior to May 31, 2008. Sign-ups for players begin May 1, 2008. |
