Located at 2821 Wyandotte Avenue in Oroville. Martin Luther King Jr. Park features a full-sized multi-purpose field with lighting, a playground, an amphitheater, basketball courts, and a picnic area with barbeques.
In the Fall of 2021, 54 trees were planted, funded by Prop 68 Grant, and partnered with the Oroville Botanic Garden and Education Center (OBGEC). The species of trees included American Sycamore, Chinese Pistache, and Interior Live Oak. Members of the community, Southside Community Center, and FRRPD worked together to plant the trees.
This park offers a group picnic area and amphitheater for reservations.
Public Event: Entire park with field lights - $500 with an additional $150 refundable cleaning deposit.
Group Picnic Area $100 per day or $65 per half day (9:00 am-1:00 pm or 2:00 pm-6:00 pm).
Amphitheater $150 per day.
Soccer Field: $150 per day or $75 per half day (9:00 am-1:00 pm or 2:00 pm-6:00 pm).
